I am drawn to characters like The Maxx, The Endless (yes, the entire bunch of them), and Wormwood. Ooooh and don't forget Popbot. Maybe it's time for the evolution of the comic into something far more interesting than your average superhero plot. |

For a long time guts is a strong but normal guy who swings a big ass sword. He's the commander of a group mercenaries called the band of the hawk. One day the leader of the group leaves the group behind as demon food in some hellish place. Guts and his girlfriend are the only 2 of the group who manage to escape from that place. But only after Guts has cut off his arm and loses an eye. The two are demon food for live, both have a mark thats starts bleeding when demons are near.
So Guts—who now has a prosthetic arm that hides a canon—wanders around killing the demons he attract, occasionally saving a village or something. Not because he thinks it the right thing to do but because it's kill or get killed for guts.
(little known fact: Cloud Strider from FFVII is based on Guts) |
